About Brian Twiddy

Location Location Location…….

For generations, that was the rule of real estate—and finding the right location was a big part of why you needed a real estate agent.  Today, information is everywhere. Listings hit your phone instantly. You can research neighborhoods, compare sales, tour homes virtually, and learn a lot about a property before ever calling an agent. Today, finding the right location is just the beginning.‍ ‍

You need an agent who is part of and can help introduce you to the people in the community.Who do you call to remodel the kitchen? Who can install a generator? Who can fix the HVAC on a Friday afternoon? Who can pet sit when something comes up two hours from now? That relationship shouldn't end when you leave the closing table. A good real estate relationship lasts well beyond the transaction. Whether it's next month or five years from now, when you need a recommendation, have a question about your home, or just aren't sure who to call, you can say “maybe we should call Brian?”. Location still matters. It always will. But it’s the people you meet along the way who help make it home.‍ ‍

I have worked in the real estate industry and been licensed since 2010, earning my Virginia Broker's license in 2014. After graduating from James Madison University, I began my career in property management in Harrisonburg, Virginia, before moving back home to Williamsburg in 2014, where I live today.

Starting my career in property management gave me an education in real estate that went well beyond buying and selling homes. I learned early that every property involves a much larger network of people and organizations—owners, tenants, contractors, inspectors, insurers, HOAs, utility companies, local governments, and many others. Understanding how those pieces work together has given me a broader perspective on the industry and on the issues that can affect a property long after a transaction is complete.

Over the years, my experience has expanded beyond property management to include hands-on work and home repairs, as well as representing both residential and commercial clients. That combination has given me what I consider an understanding of the whole picture of real estate—not just the transaction itself, but the property, the people involved, and the practical issues that come with owning it.

Today, as an Associate Broker with Twiddy Realty, I primarily work with residential buyers and sellers throughout Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and the surrounding areas. I take a particularly hands-on approach to my work. For sellers, that often begins well before a home reaches the market—determining what should be repaired, updated, cleaned up, or simply left alone, and helping coordinate the people needed to get it done. For buyers, it means looking beyond finishes and listing photos to help evaluate the home itself, identify potential concerns, and make an informed decision.

I live in Williamsburg with my wife and our three sons. After spending most of my professional life working in and around this community, my relationships with clients don't simply end at the closing table.

Real estate is an ever-evolving industry. Technology changes, laws change, markets change, and the way people buy and sell homes continues to change with them. I believe there is a balance between holding onto the principles that matter and being willing to adapt to new technology, new standards of practice, and better ways of doing business. Continuing to learn and evolve isn't just part of maintaining a license—it's an important part of providing my clients with the best service I can.
